Certificate Expired Problems
Someone reported a problem that when installing getting a "Certificate Expired" message. I thnk this is because it's one year since I did the self signing on the SIS, and self signing lasts only one year.
I'll upload a re-signed version later, but in the meantime anybody who experiences might try just setting the clock back a few months, and see if the install can succeed. You can reset the clock back to the correct date after install.

Set 2007 instead of 2008 solves the Certificate Problem. Thanks.
I am able to download and begin the installation of "GNUGoS60v30-0.1.sis" on my Nokia E51. However, I get a few iterations of the certificate error(s) depending on what date I set my phone to. I tried setting my E51 phone to Jan, Feb, Mar, and Apr, 2007. No success. I really hope you upload GnuGO S60 with new certificate soon. -Addicted to go.
Figured it out: I had to set the date back to 2007, and also change these settings in my E51: Menu -> Installations -> App mgr-> Options-> Settings -> software installation from "Signed Only" to "All"
will there be a version for S60 5th?
really want to play it on nokia 5800.

Right after someone gives me a 5800 or better yet, a N97 :)
I changed the date and set my E71 to allow unsigned applications, and was also able to install it. It runs, but I haven't played yet- but I'm pretty excited :)
It's pretty good to play Go Game with cell phone of s60. Many thanks...
And I'd like to know what version of Gun Go bases on your porting file, can you tell me that?
Thanks..

Sure, it's based on gnugo 3.6.
Hi, I had installed it on my phone memory, and I uninstalled it to reinstall it on the storage. I now get an "installation of [gnugo].sis is unsopported". I seem to recall I did some date-shuffling back then but it doesn't help now and I'm not sure if it helped back then. Maybe I just haven't repeated the right magical incantations I used back then :D
I used to get a dozen moves or so moves, sometimes less, sometimes enough for a game, before it crashed, btw, and started getting a bit slow, like 20-40 ish seconds maybe per move. That's on a 6124 classic with 96 MB RAM (maybe around 50 of them usable?) and a ARM 11 at 369 MHz.
I think the screensaver may have been partly guilty and also other apps, maybe?
Thank you tr and all. I have it on my E51. Works fine.
Runs on my Nokia E51 (the S60 v3), but it is so slow that is practically unusable. Any ideas? Is there any solution for this?
Any expectations for future development?
Thank you Gnu Go for S60, all.
Actually the slowness problem is resolved (or as resolved as it's going to get on a 300MHz processor). It's not speedy as such, but playable at least. I haven't gotten around to releasing it yet though.
Any chance you could release the new version soon? I would LOVE to have this working on my phone but the slowness really takes away the fun of the game.
it is nt working.i have reversed the month and the year.....plzzzz help me out.....m waiting
Freezes on second move. Nokia E66, latest firmware.
hi, i'd love to play this on my nokia e63 (s60 3rd). Can't get past the problems with the certificate, even if I change the date. Using the current date, it tells me "certificate expired." Setting it back to 2007, it tells me something like "certificate error-contact application supplier". Are you still working on this? Anything I can try?
I runs on my new Nokia E71 (the S60 v3 fp2), but it is also slow.
Thank you for the nice game for s60.
Hope you could continue to improve the speed problem
Impossible past the problem with certificate on N97. All dates are wrong. Somebody knews a solution? Thank's...
i am no longer using my Nokia E51. Have moved onto an Android phone. There are loads of Go programs and timers for Android.
Also, there are some available for Nintendo DS.
sorry I can no longer help with this.
I'm in may/2010 anda I can't install the application. I've tried to sign it (only for my mobile in symbiansigned), but I couldn't because the application is already signed (to a different email). Is it possible to un-sign an application, or publish a non-signed application to allow the individual-signing? Thanks.
